Equipment Upgrades

Given that at this point I have most stuff necessary to make good batches in any style, efficiently and outdoors, these improvements will be marginal and expensive.
  1. Better Kettle with volume markings, temperature probe, rubber handles, potentially a direct recirculation valve. For example the Edelmetall BrĂ¼ Kettle.
  2. Some kind of better insulated mash tun that holds the temperature better than the cooler. For example the SS Brewing Mash Tun.
  3. A counterflow chiller.
Process Improvements
  1. More accurate volumes.
  2. Better control of mash pH. 
  3. More exact control of ale fermentation temps, rather than just leaving the fermenting beer in the basement.
